Our entire board is actively involved in mentoring and preparing our contestants and titleholders. Each individual brings her own energy, expertise, and passion for the Miss America program to the team.
Ashley has played an active role in the Miss America Organization since 2007. She started out by typing the script and helping with choreography for a local program in Oregon State and quickly volunteered to help with music, production, logistics, hostessing, emceeing, and with website and social media design and maintenance. She competed from 2010-2015, winning the titles of Miss Cascade in 2010 and 2013 (Oregon) and Miss East King County in 2015 (Washington State). Ashley has been a runner-up 11 times in 5 years and earned top interview, top fitness, community service awards and the CMNH Miracle Maker Award.
Ashley graduated from the University of Oregon in 2013 with her Bachelor’s of Architecture and a minor in Business Administration. After two years of working in the low-income housing firm in Seattle and giving up her title as Miss East King County she relocated to the Big Apple. She is currently actively pursuing her license in architecture as a Project Manager at Just Architecture in Brooklyn. Ashley continues to work with her platform “Junior Achievement: Financial Literacy for Every Student” as a volunteer mentor with Junior Achievement of New York. She lives here in NYC with her fiance Alex, and her cat, Professor B.W. Maverick.
