Rose is a 23 year old who recently graduated from The New School for Social Research with a Master’s Degree in Psychology concentrating in Mental Health and Substance Abuse Counseling. She previously attended Saint Joseph by the Sea High school and received a Bachelor’s Degree in psychology and sociology from Manhattan College. She aspires to continue her education and receive a doctorate in clinical psychology.
This is Rose’s second year competing within the Miss America Organization, promoting her platform “Change Minds, Change Lives:Erasing the Stigma of Mental Illness”. This is a cause that is near and dear to her heart and erasing the stigma of mental illness is something she works towards every day. She currently works for Community Health Action of Staten Island as their Youth Development Coordinator. This year she hopes to work with various organizations to be an advocate for mental health and be a positive face in the New York community.
